In spring 2001, it re-launched with new graphics. By 1999, the block rebranded and introduced its official name. Other original programs created for this incarnation of the block are PB&J Otter and Out of the Box.

The first original program created for the block was Bear in the Big Blue House. The second being the Doodlebops Rockin Road Show episode, Night Light, the third being the Doodlebops Rockin Road Show episode, Hiccupitis, and the fourth being the Let's Get Loud music video.Playhouse Disney launched on the Disney Channel on as the Disney Channel Preschool Block. Before the concert performance, Jazzmin decided they stick with The Doodlebops. They also ask Bus Driver Bob to pick their new name. They recorded a song called Jump, Shake, Shimmy in the recording studio with Audio Murphy in order for him to decide what the band's name should be. But what kind of band name would it be?: Deedee likes the name 'The Stomping Keytar Stars', Rooney likes 'The Rockin' Guitar Grinders', and Moe likes 'The Crash Bang Boom Band'. After going through a few ideas, the three decided it would be a new band name. Following the pledge, the trio receive a letter from a fan asking them what was new. Deedee and Rooney cannot find Moe, and they both found him, sleeping with his stuffed bear, Doug on the couch.
